About Me

My name is Eleni Georgiadis.  I will graduate from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music with a BM in Horn Performance in May of 2017.  While at IU, I have completed a double major in Classical Studies, with a focus in Latin language, but that’s another story. I am originally from New Jersey, but I’ve lived in Indiana for more than a decade now.  I attended Carmel High School and had the privilege to study with Indianapolis area horn teacher Janet Miller, who guided me to love horn and music.

In my time at IU, I have been fortunate to study with Dale Clevenger as my primary teacher. I also study natural horn with Richard Seraphinoff.  I am an active chamber musician, playing in brass quintet and natural horn trio each semester.  I also have experience in brass band, horn choir, woodwind quintet, and horn quartet.  I perform regularly with the IU orchestras and bands.  I spent the summer in the Czech Republic, playing with Prague Summer Nights Festival Orchestra.  I love to work with students and encourage them to find musical discoveries.

Away from the horn, I love to run, cook, knit, dance very poorly, and spend time outside.
